 Hi,

 I'd like to update gimp to version 2.6 for F10 GA, the new version was
 released slightly after the Beta on October 1st.

 Version 2.6 is designed to be backward-compatible to version 2.4 (2.0
 really) which lets users use plug-ins and scripts which were made for or
 built against older gimp versions. Bug fixes in the included Script-Fu
 Scheme implementation made it a bit more strict, possibly requiring people
 to fix 3rd party scripts where they don't meet certain language rules, see

 Only a few packages depend on the gimp libraries, most of these are or
 contain gimp plug-ins. These should just work as they are, but I'll do
 test-rebuilds of them in any case, I can also rebuild them for real later
 in the process. I've tested the development versions (2.5.x) every once in
 a while in the past, I also tested a locally built 2.6 package.

 I've only found one problem so far, namely that the !WebKit-gtk based
 built-in help browser crashes (which doesn't affect the main application,
 because it's a separate process). I've not yet nailed whether the bug is
 in gimp or webkit. If all else fails, I'll change the default to using the
 normal web browser.

 I'd really like to get this in now, partly because I already got requests
 for it and because getting it in as an update later on will likely mean
 less testing by other people. I also plan to update gimp (and its
 dependencies gegl and babl) in F9 later on because once a new upstream
 stable version is out, there's not much interest in the old stable version
 -- from both the users and developers.
