Comment (by notting):

 RPM dependency tracking is done at the soname level (i.e., libfoo.so.3);
 it doesn't drill down to the actual symbols.

 This implies the library in question changed ABI without changing soname,
 *OR* something in the compiler broke with C++ symbol mangling.

 In any case, rebuild kicked off as:
