 I remember this issue now.  We were going to find the consumers of the
 "rawhide" and "branched" symlinks, make them consume "rawhide/something"
 and "branched/something" instead so that we can move the symlink up a
 level, rather than creating yet more symlinks.  That was on our To Do
 list, I'll try to get somebody on it.
