 The reason for failing to install appears to be insufficient HDD size -
 KVM's 8 GB default is too small. When I use my usual size of 30 GB with
 Fedora-16-x86_64-Live-Electronic-Lab.iso, the install works. With 8 GB, I
 get the above error close to the end of the install, and hitting "Retry"
 hard locks up my host (not just the guest). So use a larger HDD size. If
 preallocating this much space is too much, uncheck the "Allocate entire
 disk now" box - VirtualBox defaults to dynamically allocated storage, and
 I used to have limited HDD space, so I normally use that in KVM as well.
