 I found a workaround for the linker memory consumption.

 It seems to me that gcc and friends seem to grow memory usage faster than
 our builders can provide it. You might want to tar and feather Jakub, or
 think about increasing memory allocation to the builders. I'd prefer the
 second option ;)
