 The pkgdb portion fails silently, the pkgdb2branch.py failure is a Python
 stacktrace ending in

 pkgdb2client.PkgDBException: Package: xfce4-hamster-plugin not found

 so I think it's pkgdb part that's the culprit, but it doesn't really tell
 me anything.
