Not really. the wiki on the acpi.sourceforge.net has a small change to 
drivers/acpi/osl.c in order to be able to load a custom dsdt. I just applied 
that, as my purpose was to get the battery stuff working.

btw, I think the kernel could use the ability to load a dsdt from a file 
(other than initrd).
