Maybe this should be qualified with "for the next release, if you are
going to volunteer to work on it" ;-)

Fudging the release date slightly to align with a large open source
project is one thing, but totally blowing the feature freeze out of
the water is not really the idea... in fact that kind of slippery
slope is much of the reason people were questioning the gnome 2.4
inclusion in the first place.
