hmm. there's no usb core stuff... I don't have a 2.6 install handy at the 
moment, but I had problems with dependencies (ie. modules which would load 
ok, but still won't work without other ones..) I think you should load at 
least "usbcore". probably "usb-[u|o]hci" too.. :). I'm surprised that they're 
not loaded by default. My severn did load them in test2 a while ago..
