XCDRoast - cannot read image

Hi all,

FC94-2 - trying to 'read' a cd to image file.  XCDRoast seems not to be 
able to read the disk. 

If I kill  the magicdev process, then XCDRoast can read the disk and 
save to image just fine.

any explanations?
