Subject: Problem building custom kernel

Install 2.4.22-1.2097 kernel sources rpm

cd /usr/src/linux-2.4

make menuconfig
make dep
make bzImage

Got some strange error complaining about unresolved ref to
"active_load_balance"

Decided to start over...

make mrproper
make oldconfig
make dep
make bzImage

Worked perfectly !

Seems to me that the rpm contains some crap, or the install
should run "mrproper".

Or maybe I'm just not doing the right thing to build the kernel ?

Any clues for the clueless will be appreciated.

Regards,
