up2date hang on dependency test

This is differnet from my behaviour: either you stalled at 0% CPU forever on 
testing/solving with no barchart visible, or you got some movement on the 
testing/solving barchart within a couple of seconds and you are going to be 
fine.  If the app froze it required a kill -9 IIRC.
