Ctrl-Alt-Backspace Problem

Just a guess: might it be related to ACPI being used in the new kernels?
I don't know the K7S5A but I've seen with other boards/BIOSes that power
ACPI still does have effect even though you switch it off.
Try booting without ACPI, maybe it makes a difference.
