problem with rhgb

Append rhgb to the end of your line.  This works for me.

It would be:
~ kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2111.nptl ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb

for you. (For me, it comes right after an "hdc=ide-scsi" that's at the
end of the line).
