You installed the preconfigured Yum for Shrike on Severn without
a Severn repository at freshrpms.net. That's the reason why
you get a 404 Not Found error. The example above was Shrike-specific.


It would have been different if you had used Yum from Fedora's
Severn repository: http://www.fedora.us/wiki/FedoraHOWTO
