I have to use KDE for one of my two beta machines. It is orking out 
alright for the machine that wil not load GNOME yet. (screen message 
says something about a tmp file, ORBIT or someting needing root 
permission. I still haven't figured out this one.

Personally,I thought that KDE looked too XPish for my tastes before the 
bluecurve project. I also thought that KDE looked too cartoonish with 
their ICON's. With the RH work, it feels close to GNOME for me. I still 
prefer GNOME.

It is great to have both GNOME and KDE included and to have the feel of 
both to be similar enough to allow using one for another one's failure 
to not be so chalenging.

It might be "useless" for some users, but it is better to have KDE as a 
heavily featured "failsafe" window manager.
