This would seriously rock, don't give up cheerleading it.  The whole 
worship of the installer god seems to me a false religion.

On a similar subject, it looks like Fedora beta 2 bring up X once for 
the boot progress display and again as a result of runlevel 5?  Nice 
if you could see that X was up and inherit it somehow.
