Remove the /bin/true line from /etc/modprobe.conf.dist; also, add
the hardware address to /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth2
in a manner like:
HWADDR=aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff
Things should work better then.
