rpm -Rebuilddb problems

I am posting on two separate topics; I may be wasting time for some
people so let me know which thread to stop on (PS also on the new
dependencies one, both fedora test-list)

Also this may be related: when I boot it now goes into textmode at the
end (after graphical boot). when I start Nautilus from XFCE i get an
error message about problems with bonobo. Then if i try to start it
again it works.
