Kernel-2.6.2-1.87 locking up computer

I'm also having problems booting with the 2.6.2-1.87 kernel, which didn't occur with the 2.6.2-1.81 kernel. X attempts to change the video mode several times, eventually giving an error that it's out of video memory (128mb), and it just keeps trying. I have an Intel i845GV.

The "*ERROR* space: 131056 wanted 131064" and "*ERROR* lockup" errors also occur with previous kernels, but only after having used several opengl programs one at a time, as if a memory leak was to blame in those cases.
