Does 'usb /dev/usb/scanner0' work instead?

For /dev/usb/scanner0 this step shouldn't be needed.

Unfortunately this stuff isn't set up automatically, and there is an
open bug for it to be:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=80613

If anyone can provide clues about how this should/could be done, that
bug report would be the place to put them!
