er, color me ignorant.  Sorry I missed that.  Looks like it is the updated 
version I had to use in the 32bit platform.

We have a few systems at work that use this chipset, so I'll be bugging the 
kernel folk to take a look at it.  I wonder if this problem exists with 
the RHEL3 amd64 kernel.  Will have to test.  Sam, thank you for bringing 
this to my attention.
