font differences between xorg vs. xfree86?

Are my eyes deceiving me, or is "MiscFixed" not the same font in xorg as
it was in XFree?  I've been using MiscFixed in my shells for quite some
time and was shocked at how bad it looked after switching to the xorg
packages.

Any way to get the old look/font back?
