Status of FireWire/IEEE1394/SBP2 in FC2?

I understand that you don't want to have systems freezing on people for
a feature that they don't want in the first place.  I guess many, if not
most, firewire users don't need firewire at install time anyway, but
rather on the system after installation to hook up their digital video
camera or similar.  So, I think the most important thing is to have a
simple way of installing a firewire-enabled kernel as an option.  As
long as it is installed in addition to the non-firewire kernel, people
can just boot back into the non-firewire kernel if the firewire-enabled
one freezes their system.

Are you going to release extra rpms for a firewire kernel?
