To stop iptables completely just do:
/etc/init.d/iptables stop
To leave it running and allow any to any connectivity do:
iptables -L
iptables -X
iptables -A INPUT -j ACCEPT
iptables -A OUTPUT -j ACCEPT
iptables -A FORWARD -j ACCEPT
