Problem upgrading from FC2t1 to FC2t3

 I finally got around to installing C2T3 last night and I'm now getting...

VFS: Cannot open root device "LABEL=/" or unkown-block(0,0)
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

grub look like this....

root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.5-1.327 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb
initrd /initrd-2.6.5-1.327.img

I've tried passing LABEL=/dev/sda3 and root=803 but no luck there either. Any 
ideas? 

Hardware is a D865GBF motherboard with an Adaptec 29160N card in front of a 
Seagate drive.
