what does this 'cdrom: open failed' message mean

I already have an 'noauto' entry in /etc/fstab (and autofs is running).
So something else is wrong.
I will lookup the relevant bootscript to see what is specified there.

I will try this out tomorrow to see if it makes any difference
(but it is not a solution I would care for).
