HP USB 2.0 DVD+RW Drive Not Recognized?

I am getting USB 1.1 when it is really a USB2 device. 


Here is what my mounts look like:


# mount /dev/sda1 tmp
# cd tmp
# mount /dev/sda1 tmp
# cd tmp
# ls
index.html  lost+found  music  pictures
# cd ..
# umount tmp
# mount /media/usbdisk tmp
mount: /media/usbdisk is not a block device

<this is because /media/usbdisk is a file, not a block device, DOH !
