Where did updfstab go?

I've just been asked by my farther why the USB Flash drive does not 
appear on his machine, I went searching for updfstab which was there a 
week or two ago, but it has not gone and vamoused on me.

Has it's functionality been replaced by some thing else?

I am running FC3rc5.

I had a look at the fstab-sync --add option, but I don't know how to 
find the unique UDI's.

The device is detected, and was working as I edited the /etc/updfstab to 
recognise the usb stick. Any help that can be provided would but much 
appreciated :)
