X Windows apps crash when XForwarded over ssh.

For example:
# system-config-securitylevel
The program 'system-config-securitylevel' received an X Window System
error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
(Details: serial 66 error_code 3 request_code 25 minor_code 0)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error()
function.)
kwrite does the same thing, but system-config-services worked fine.
Server is running FC3 server install with X windows and KDE enabled. No
problems running these apps natively. Recently ran yum update and
received a new ssh and kernel.
Server: # rpm -q openssh
openssh-3.9p1-7
kernel = 2.6.9.678
Host is running FC3.
Host: rpm -q openssh
openssh-3.9p1-7
kernel = 2.6.9.677
