  Smooge has shed some possible light on the history of why, but I think
it would be wise to leave it as is.  At least with the DECPHQ (heh)
Alpha, the 64 bit binaries were *much* larger.  Given the recent need to
remove the source rpms from the DVD iso for x86_64, it looks like the
same may apply to that platform.  And when were all ready to upgrade to
256 bit platforms...

*ahem*
