Does udev make system unbootable?

Thanks for the notes Mickey ... Hopefully this will help Dwaine.  
Over the couse of FC3T1 I've tripped on udev a time or two and the 
"been there, done that" commentary is quite a interesting!

I didn't see a bugzilla entry with your name, which one are you 
referring to?
