FC3T2 startup - Starting smartd [Failed]

This what my smartd.conf contained:
/dev/hda -H -m root at localhost.localdomain
/dev/sda -H -m root at localhost.localdomain

I'm thinking that /dev/sda is not SMART compatible since it's a card reader.
