Custom Kernel?

we want to make it possible to have your own kernel running. That
doesn't mean we can or are going to make the distro work with just any
random kernel config combo (just try compiling out UNIX domain sockets
or tcp/ip ... it's not reasonable to expect our distro to work fully
with that ;). Bugs on such own kernels that look like they are kernel
related should really be reproduced with a fedora kernel first.
