shrug.... its probably a one-time transitional problem inside the
devel tree associated with the gcc4 package changed names to gcc or
you were contacting a mirror that didnt have the new libmudflap-devel
package available.  Current libmudflap-devel-4.0.0-0.38 in rawhide
requires gcc = 4.0.0-0.38 and updated for me just fine.
libmudflap-devel is a subpackage of the gcc srpm and should match the
version of the gcc package you were trying to install.
