don't know if it helps, but I have problems booting this kernel on dual 
Opteron on a fully updated FC3.
some /proc stuff in attachment.
It panics in swaproot or something. some lines above the volume manager 
cries about something...
I now I'm a bit vague :) but if necessary I can dig out more infos..
