Unable to boot any of the rawhide kernels

Does anyone know what changed in the kernel between FC4 and the current
builds in the way of generic stuff?

I always get an EIP error on boot with anything newer than the latest FC4
updated kernel.

I've posted it to Bugzilla under 179714 - yet I haven't been able to
figure out what's causing it.
