Yes: no one has volunteered to take on the ongoing work of maintaining
such packages.  If you think the effort involved is negligible, feel
free to step up and become the package maintainer.  I don't believe
there would be any objection to adding these packages to Extras, so long
as someone is on the hook to keep them up-to-date.
