FC5 (using updates testing).

[rodd at localhost ~]$ rpm -q kernel nautilus
kernel-2.6.16-1.2122_FC5 (tainted with nvidia from rpm.livna.org)
nautilus-2.14.1-1.fc5.1

[rodd at localhost ~]$ rpm -q gtk2 gnome-panel hal dbus gamin gnome-vfs2
gtk2-2.8.18-1
gnome-panel-2.14.1-1.fc5.1
hal-0.5.7-3.fc5.3
dbus-0.61-3.fc5.1
gamin-0.1.7-1.2.1
gnome-vfs2-2.14.2-1

Wireless internal network (in a house) with ADSL 512/128. The router
works as a firewall, but there's no proxying going on (that I'm aware
of.)

The transfer speed for the files being downloaded was acceptable.

Could this have something to do with the file monitor thingee (gamin???)
pooping it's pants with the number (or size) of the downloads and then
resulting in a lockup of other gnome apps???
