It's not the kernel. It's udev. :( I ran into the same thing this
morning. It was a pain to track down. ;) 

There is already a new udev: 
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=13911

it's bug: 252983

So, upgrade to that udev.
