user switcher bug?

I can confirm this. Something gets confused about vt's. 
In the sequence above, 
user A first gets vt7, user B gets vt9, 
then the attempt to switch to user A again from B's session 
brings up a greeter on vt10,
but the user switcher switches somewhere else (vt7 ?)
