No sound in F9

FYI this happens to me on F9 with today's (20080530) updates,
which include:

May 30 12:20:13 Updated: rhythmbox-0.11.5-12.fc9.x86_64
reverting to rhythmbox-0.11.5-9.fc9.x86_64.rpm does not fix

May 30 12:20:26 Updated: gstreamer-plugins-good-0.10.8-1.fc9.x86_64
gstreamer-plugins-good-0.10.7-1.fc9.x86_64.rpm

May 30 12:20:01 Updated: gstreamer-plugins-base-0.10.19-2.fc9.x86_64
gstreamer-plugins-base-0.10.19-1.fc9.x86_64.rpm

Reverting to the previous gstreamer-plugins-[good|base] allows
rhythmbox/totem to play sound again.

> Try another application like audacious ( yum -y install audacious )
> And see if you get a sound from that application

audacious works, but rhythmbox and totem-xine do not. The startup
sound and the clicky noises on the mouse clicks are also audible. 

The init 3 workaround does not help.
