Oh it can still be done. This was just an experiment I tried
with a copy of my home directory to see if it would work.
I was hoping someone might know something minor that could be
fixed so I don't need to start from scratch.

Actually, if I'm gonna start from scratch, I may see how hard
it is to setup dovecot and use it to keep all my mail
so I can switch clients at will (but then the new release of
dovecot will probably be incompatible in fedora 11 :-).
