mdadm raid devices across versions of fedora

Should mdadm created raid devices, a raid10 and raid 5 with 1 spare 
created in Fedora 11 be usable in current rawhide?

I can see the raid devices in anaconda 12.15 when trying an install and 
even ask that they be mounted in the final installation.  However, 
booting the new installation causes udev to hang.  Removing the new 
installation /etc/mdadm.conf then allows the new installation to boot.

Do any of you good folks have any ideas about this?
