Rebooting and shutdown made difficult

As I said in another email previously I have problems rebooting the machine.
It get stuck right after the progress bar reaches the end. I waited 5+
minutes and nothing happens unless I press CTRL+ALT+DEL. Is there a way to
log what happens after a reboot command ?
