Johann, you don't need the smolt profile. You can already see what codec
it is based on the alsa-info output Tom already provided. We already
suggested a list of probable model= parameters for him to try, based on
that.

Tom, assuming none of the other model= parameters does anything, please
file a bug explaining the problem. Attach the alsa-info output and
specify what model= parameters and volume tweaks you tried. Set it on
the kernel or alsa-lib package and assign to Jaroslav Kysela (jkysela at
redhat). thanks!
