Starting LXDE session from runlevel 3; nouveau comment

I use this method too (I like to have the control in case there are
graphics problems in startup) but I am still on F12 at the moment. I
also have to have /etc/sysconfig/desktop with:
PREFERRED=startlxde
AND ~/.Xclients-default with:
WM=startlxde
or LXDE does not work but ONLY changing ~/.Xclients-default to:
WM="gnome-session"
causes GNOME to be used?!
