I've also hit random lockup ( depends on kernel ) on my T61p with nvidia 
card using the nouveau with mesa-dri-experimental installed

I just haven't had the time to start chasing down which kernel 
introduced this but it happens when I either is playing music and or 
media/flash file and the fedora startup shutdown screen I end up with 
the last bit of audio being played stuck on repeat. ( when I first came 
aware of this I booted to older kernel where this did not happen that 
does not necessary mean it's the kernel thou might be some other update).

Try different kernel versions from koji to start with if you can easily 
reproduce this
