Since we Icelanders more or less invented hockey (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knattleikr ) and taught the natives of
eastern Canada the game when we set foot there somewhere on the shores
of eastern Canada here back in the day I think I should be granted
exception to the general rule :-þ
