This is multiarch breakage. Pay attention to the "perl" version-release.
It is _not_ the version-release of the latest F12 "perl" in "updates".
The latest one is release -87.fc12 from December 2009.
F12 initially shipped with a multiarch "perl", whereas later updates
no longer are multiarch. That's why there still is a perl.i686 in the
fedora x86_64 repo and a perl.ppc64 in the fedora ppc repo. It isn't
obsoleted or replaced by any update.

As why this broken dep has entered the report only recently, consider
asking rel-eng or the "mash" developers about whether they have altered
the multi-arch compose strategy.
